Lazarus Pool.
The Bitcoin mining pool for Sia ASICs.
Get paid in the block itself.

Bitcoin now runs on BLAKE2b, so any Siacoin ASIC can mine it. Point yours here and every payout lands straight in the block’s coinbase.

  • 0% fee through your own DATUM gateway
  • You build the block: your own node picks the transactions, the pool only splits the coinbase
  • Paid on chain, in the coinbase. The pool never holds your coins
  • Open source on GitHub, run by Lazarus since day one
Pool hashrate — Bitcoin price — 1 TH/s yields —

One way in: DATUM

Run your own node and DATUM gateway: you build the block and pay 0%.

Set up a DATUM gateway. Pick one from our tested list.

Custody fee: from block 977,665, make-goods for pool-only or partial coinbases pay 10% less to miners whose own out-of-date gateway produced them. Miners on current gateways are paid in full.

Live

The pool right now.

Straight from Prime and the node, refreshed every ten seconds.

  • Paid in the block itself. No pool balance, no withdrawals. When a block is found, its coinbase pays your address directly. See the next payout.
  • Your own gateway: 0% fee. Your node builds the block; the pool only sets the split. Connect
  • Verifiable end to end. Every share is rebuilt and hashed; every block found is on the Lazarus Mempool. Source on GitHub.

Next payout

If a block is found right now.

The coinbase Prime is handing out right now. Whoever finds the next block, this is who it pays and how much.

    One username: your address.

One way in: a DATUM gateway you run. Your username is the address that gets paid.

    Which DATUM gateway

Pick one of these. All three speak BLAKE2b and connect here with no patch. Keep whichever you run up to date.

    1. Recommended CONVOY The reference BLAKE2b DATUM gateway, and the most actively maintained. Run the v0.5.0beta release; v0.4.1-beta builds are out of date. Every miner gets the whole split, so a found block pays the whole window.
    2. FlyTheElephant CONVOY’s code plus FlyTheElephant’s own work. Every miner gets the whole split, so a found block pays the whole window. Setup guide.
    3. Ratum iohzrd’s Rust gateway: one binary for Linux, macOS and Windows, with the same config file. Set mining.pool_address to your own address. Setup guide.

Want a full walkthrough? CONVOY’s get-started guide (中文) covers Knots and the gateway. Then use the host, port and pubkey below.

stratum + datum sections of datum_gateway_config.json

    1. Run Bitcoin Knots for this chain with server=1 and a cookie or RPC user the gateway can read.
    2. Build the gateway, merge the stratum and datum sections above into its config, and set mining.pool_address to your payout address. Keep stratum.vardiff_min at 4096: stock DATUM defaults to 16384, and Prime cannot lower it.
    3. Point miners at your gateway’s stratum (usually stratum+tcp://127.0.0.1:23334). Username: just a machine name, like rig1. Payouts go to mining.pool_address.
    4. Watch your gateway appear under Gateways and your address under Miners. Running an older FlyTheElephant / OCEAN-lineage v0.4.1-beta build (no +lazarus-split)? Update it: it can leave the window out of a block.
Who gets paid, by gateway setting

    Buy a miner

BLAKE2b machines that hash this chain.

Any Siacoin ASIC mines Bitcoin (XBT): it is the same BLAKE2b hardware. Machines and prices come from BT-Miners’ BTCB2 collection. Earnings assume your own DATUM gateway at 0% fee, before electricity.

      Rent hashrate

BLAKE2b rigs you can rent, pointed at your own node.

Rent BLAKE2b rigs on RouteHash and point them at your own DATUM gateway’s public stratum port. Pay in BTC or XBT. Each card compares the rental cost with what that hashrate would earn here. Or buy a machine.

List your BLAKE2b miner on RouteHash to earn between your own mining.

Lazarus Pool is not responsible for RouteHash customer support or quality of service. Rentals are paid to RouteHash in BTC or XBT; XBT amounts use the NeoxEX best bid. Estimates exclude luck, transaction fees and electricity.

Six short answers. Mining here needs only a payout address: no account, no sign-up.

Proof of work, in one minute

Miners race to find a hash below a target. It is pure trial and error, so more hashes win more often, and that cost is what makes the chain hard to rewrite.

      How the pool fits in

      Why this chain uses BLAKE2b

At block 961,640 (30 August 2026) this chain switched from SHA-256d to BLAKE2b. Supply, halvings, addresses and history are unchanged, and Siacoin ASICs now mine it.

      The fork, and BIP-110

      What DATUM changes

On an ordinary pool, the pool picks what goes in the block. With your own DATUM gateway and Knots node, you build the template and the pool only splits the reward. Here that costs 0%.

      Set up a DATUM gateway

      How TIDES pays

TIDES pays on a rolling window of about eight network-difficulties of work. When the pool finds a block, every address with work in the window is paid its share. No rounds, no resets.

      TIDES explained

      Paid in the block itself

Each payout is an output of the block’s own coinbase, sent straight to your address. No balance, no threshold, no withdrawal, and every payout is on chain.

      Non-custodial payouts

      A pool that caps itself

The public stratum is capped at 15% of network hashrate; past that, new connections are relayed to other pools. Your own DATUM gateway never counts toward the cap.

      The 15% self-cap

From zero to mining, the DATUM way

      1. Get a payout address. Any wallet that gives you a bc1… address on this chain. That address is your username; there is nothing to register.
      2. Run your own node. Bitcoin Knots for this chain, with server=1 and a cookie or RPC user your gateway can read. Your node is what chooses the transactions in your blocks.
      3. Start a DATUM gateway. Build one (CONVOY is recommended), paste in the Lazarus host, port and pubkey from the Connect page, and set mining.pool_address to your address.
      4. Point your miner at your gateway. Any Siacoin BLAKE2b ASIC, aimed at your own gateway’s stratum port, with the username address.worker.
      5. Watch it work. Your gateway shows up under Gateways and your address under Miners. You pay 0%, and you build your own blocks.

Set up DATUM What would I earn?

      Words you will meet

      Hashrate
      Hashes tried per second. 1 TH/s is a trillion a second; 1 PH/s is a thousand TH/s.
      Share
A hash good enough to prove you are working, though not good enough to be a block. Shares are how the pool measures your work.
      Difficulty
How hard the network’s target is. It retargets so blocks keep their pace as hashrate comes and goes.
      Coinbase
The first transaction in a block, which creates the reward. Here it pays miners directly.
      Block template
The draft block a miner hashes: which transactions are in it, and who the coinbase pays.
      Window
The stretch of recent shares TIDES pays on. Here it is eight network-difficulties of work.
      Gateway
Your own DATUM software. It talks to your node for templates and to the pool for the reward split.
      Orphan
A valid block that lost the race to another found at the same moment. It pays nothing.

      How it works

How your share becomes a payout.

For newcomers and operators alike. Your ASIC never sees any of this — it hashes a plain BLAKE2b header.

      1. You hash, the pool counts

Point your machines at your own DATUM gateway. Prime rebuilds and checks every share, and credits accepted work to your address in the TIDES window.

      2. The window decides the split

The window holds the last 8 × network difficulty of accepted work — days of pool work at typical hashrate, not the last hour. A found block pays each address in proportion to its share of that window, less its fee. A new rig starts near 0% and ramps as its work enters and older work ages out.

      3. The block pays you directly

Prime hands every gateway the same coinbase output list — the one shown under Next payout. A share whose coinbase pays anything else is refused, so whoever finds the block, it pays the window. There is no pool balance to withdraw and no operator to trust with your coins.

      Decentralize the hashrate

Other pools that speak DATUM and TIDES.

No single pool should hold a third of this chain. We cap our own stratum at 15% of the network (own-gateway hashrate doesn’t count); past that, new stratum connections are relayed to one of these pools. All five support DATUM and TIDES. Keep one as a failover.
